The First Step

Much can be said about the value of continuation, follow through, and completion. But in all of that analysis you cannot get past the absolute necessity of the first step. One of my favorite proverbs, that I have spoken often to my children, as well to myself, is “better is the finish of a thing than the beginning” Ecc 7:8. I was simply putting forth the value of finishing what you have started, where often there is excitement in the beginning but a requirement of perseverance to complete.
Yet, when it comes to advancing into something new, or “getting somewhere” as J.P. puts it, especially when it begs for change, the ‘first step’ seems to have significant importance. At that significant point, there is often a great deal of emotion. On the one hand, there is the excitement we have when venturing into new territory, especially when we are in the pursuit of what we are passionate about. And on the other hand there are the fears of the likely momentum that a step incurs and the possible coming short of the goal, along with all the undesirables that can come with missing the mark.
You can rest assured that every person that achieved some accomplishment came to this ‘significant point’ where a decision had to be made: “Are you going to stay where you are?” It may seem the safe route to stay where you are. It may even seem the smart decision. Yet when you look at all of creation you will not find one element that does not progress or change.
You may be at some point where change is beckoning, or looking at one soon to be sure. Putting recklessness aside, know for certain that nothing happens without you taking “the first step”. So, my encouragement to you is go ahead and “decide that you are not going to stay where you are”.
And in that first step, know for certain you are on the eve of accomplishment!

Ah, just the mention rings of the bold visionary, determined to create a business of their own. Yet, as many wise would advise, and many statistics would tell, the one who feels the wind in their wings to pursue a business venture will do well to know that, despite their determination to face all odds, the vision alone will not carry them far without early on setting in place the ‘business system.’
A plan, that has all of the vision, yet in carefully planned detail, with all tasks carefully assigned, and finally, with a deliberate following through of every planned task. And herein lies the path “less traveled by” that can make “all the difference”.
It is with this understanding that SaJo Systems was created and continues on, with planned success. It is this same systematic approach, that our associates that come along side us will benefit from as well, and find synergy as we create together.
